Commitment day!

At the Academy get to experience a lot of different basketball related events. On Thursday it was time for one of The Patrick School’s Senior, Al-Amir Dawes, to reveal his College choice. 

We ended School a little earlier and joined parents, High school students, media and coaches on the Kyrie Irving Family Court. Unguardable was there and while waiting we got to be filmed for one of their videos. 

Then right before the Varsity team came in   a true NJ celebrity came in and we got to take a picture with him. Do you see who it is?

Yep! Mr Jesse a.k.a. Filayyyy. 

After all Al-Amir’s Coaches had  arrived the varsity team and Al-Amir himself came in. The gym was packed and the media went live for Al to reveal his choice. Al is going to Clemson! 

Of course we all cheered for that. We can’t wait to watch Al this season at TPS and then follow him on his journey at Clemson and beyond.  

After the reveal the media took a while to interview Al but after that it was our turn to congratulate him and cheer with him.  

Now we are all dreaming about our commitment reveals coming up in a few years!
